On arrival in Colombo, you will be met by our driver/guide who will assist and drive you to Kandy via Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. Proceed to Kandy En-route visit Spice Gardens You will see many spice gardens at Mawanella on the Colombo-Kandy road where Cinnamon, Cardamom, Pepper Creepers and all other spice trees, plants and creepers are planted for visitors to see them. Spice products are also available for those who would like to buy them. At all Spice Gardens visitors are taken round explaining each tree and plant and at the end explaining the use of them in food preparations. Overnight Stay at Kandy.
After breakfast start Kandy city tour covering -Peradeniya Botanical Garden - First built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was later expanded by the British. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter witness a cultural show. Overnight in Kandy
Today proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Take a tour to the cold and misty hills, step into a tea factory processing the prestigious brand of Ceylon Tea. Nuwara Eliya is known as, “Little England” of Sri Lanka. Is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night.
All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. Make sure to end your day in style over a perfectly blended cup of pure Ceylon Tea. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Today, travel to Bentota via Kitulgala, the location where Oscar winning film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ was filmed. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Bentota
After breakfast commence the sightseeing in Bentota.Visit Turtle Hatchery.Kosgoda turtle hatchery - Where you can see five species of turtles-Green Turtles (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta), Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) and Olive Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea).
Enjoy a two hour boat trip to Madu River, where you come experience day-to-day activities of villagers on the island. Overnight in Bentota.
After Breakfast at the Hotel and proceed to Colombo. Commence city tour in Colombo with shopping.Visit to Buddhist and Hindu Temples, Pettah, Fort, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo Museum, the parliament house and the folk art centre, later enjoy a shopping in Colombo. Overnight in Colombo.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Colombo Airport for your flight back home.
